A Lesson on Phonetics from a Soon-to-Be College Graduate

This blog is about my roommate, Yvonne.

Southern California friends, please do not take offense. But you have known Yvonne for four years now. Don't you think it's about time you learn how to pronounce her name? I mean, honestly, there shouldn't even be a debate if her name is pronounced ee-von or yuh-von. It begins with the letter Y. Since when does the letter Y make a yuh sound?!

I'm hungry-uh. Can I have some yuh-ogurt?
Awwww, what a cute puppy-uh!

Seriously people. Basic phonetics. Just think back to second grade.

Seriously??

I am trying on zero things in the fitting room. Since when do they give you a number card for that?!

Goodbye Everything.

I walked into my Studio Photography class just to find my teacher not there. Doctor's appointment. So we just turned in our projects and left. My last class of my life—swooped away right from me! I feel a little cheated.

Also, Campus Day is canceled. That's like canceling Christmas! It just doesn't happen! Mind you, I'm not the biggest fan of Campus Day, but I just can't imagine CBU without it. I guess the front lawn is more important than tradition. I mean, we couldn't have people stomping around piles of mud on graduation day.

I just feel....strange. lol. Goodbye everything.

I even had to say goodbye to my epic voicemail greeting. It just wouldn't suffice as I search for jobs. If you've heard it before, you definitely know what I mean.

Ohhhh I don't want to grow up.

"I erased the guy out of it..."
"You WHAT?! There's no E word here....You masked the guy out of it."

I love my studio photography class.
I feel inspired to go on a Holga shoot! Anyone?
And I wanna do some cross processing too!

Aaaaalso, I am continuing to promote my polaroid blog.

A Post of Firsts.

Today was a day of firsts.

Yvonne and I went to the Prophecy Conference at Harvest.

Let me just say this, when Satan is trying to distract you, he will do absolutely anything. And when he runs out of ideas, he'll even use the lame ones—like the scent of putrid milk and the largest buttcrack ever. You're pathetic, Satan. Really.

Today was the first day I was able to breathe amidst a putrid scent without throwing up. Be proud.

Then, Yvonne got a tan. Not a first for me, but a first nonetheless. I know, I know. You're skeptical and need proof. Here.

This prophecy conference was bomb.com. Seriously. I took like five pages of crazy notes! I think you all should keep an eye out for the archives. Dr. Tim LaHaye (one of my favorite people on the planet) was one of the speakers.

...aaaaaaand, I got to meet him! Another first! Wooohooo!!

When Yvonne and I got home, we made pizza. Now, I know this is a post of firsts, so here's the qualifier. It was homemade great white. And even better than BJ's. And I ate a whole half (whole half—that is why I am not a math major) by myself! Yummyyyyy!

Golden Ticket

What you see here is a tired college senior, bags under the eyes and everything! 132 units are behind me and I'm holding that wonderful golden ticket. I finished my exit process and soon will be picking up that gorgeous, black cap and gown. Woohoo!

Oh. My. Gosh.

My senior show is tomorrow.
TOMORROW.
That kinda makes me wanna pee my pants.
I am done.
Everything is glued to the black boards.
And I have 100 clear push pins ready to take with me to the art gallery.
Oh. My. Gosh.

55. They describe their audition as “spiritual” and mention yoga = too close to call

Burt's Bees - The Hype

Prepare to be angry with me.

I conformed. I bought some Burt's Bees chapstick a little while ago. And honestly, I don't understand what the hype is all about. It's isn't amazing. In fact, I have to reapply more than any other chapstick. It doesn't work all that great. Yeah, I know it is healthy because it is all natural and I know the minty smell and taste is refreshing, but it just doesn't seem to solve the problem of chapped lips.

And that is how I truly feel.

Go ahead, hate me.

Birthday Sweets.

My 22nd birthday was sweet (slight pun intended)!

It started off with a yummmmmy chocolate cupcake from Bethany and a super cute homemade card.

Then, Yvonne took me out and surprised me by taking me to Yogurtland! It was so exciting to try their new red velvet flavor!

Then, Michelle took me out to the Cheesecake Factory!!!! I was such a glutton there that I didn't even take a picture! Oops!

Then, my grandma got me an ice cream cake!

Then, Brenna made me a cake...hehehe...

Aaaaaaaaaand....my parents got me a netbook!!!!!!!! Woohooooooooo!

Aaaaaand, I got a plethora of birthday comments on facebook! I tried to give the most epic thank you in the history of facebook thank you's, but alas facebook did not let me (even after I spent a super long time tagging everyone!) This was the error message I got:

So, for all 91 of you that I tried to thank on my status, THANK YOU!

We had a "movement" assignment for my Studio Photography class and I shot Ashley. Gorgeous girl and totally fun!

Turns out I unintentionally copied a professional photographer! I think I did pretty good too, what do you think? :)
